Kaweah Health To Host Free Hands-Only CPR Event In Downtown Visalia

For the second year in a row, Kaweah Health is hosting a free Hands-Only CPR Training Event to teach community members about this simple life-saving technique. The family-friendly event will be led by registered nurses, and will provide instruction and practice in hands-only CPR for adults, infants and children. Additionally, this year’s event will have a Stop-The-Bleed demonstration showcasing how to apply a tourniquet if someone has a life-threatening bleed. These techniques will teach participants to recognize and respond effectively in emergency situation and there will be prizes for all who receive training.

Background

Immediate CPR can greatly increase the survival rate of individuals experiencing cardiac arrest. The Hands-Only CPR Event aims to empower community members with this specific CPR technique. By learning this skill, participants will be able to confidently respond to cardiac emergencies and potentially save lives.
