Kaweah Health Welcomes Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Harleen Chahil

VISALIA, Calif. – Kaweah Health is excited to welcome Dr. Harleen Chahil, an interventional and structural cardiologist, to its cardiology team. She brings extensive experience and a deep passion for preventive care and women’s heart health.

Dr. Chahil began at the Kaweah Health Cardiology Center in September. Her philosophy of care emphasizes empowering patients through education and personalized risk assessment. Her proactive approach to heart health is set to make a significant impact on the well-being of Tulare County residents.

“As an interventional cardiologist dedicated to prevention and women’s heart health, my approach to cardiovascular care is proactive and patient-centered,” Dr. Chahil said. “I am committed to empowering my patients through lifestyle modification and addressing disparities in women’s heart health through targeted interventions and advocacy.”

Dr. Chahil graduated from Christian Medical College in Ludhiana, India then completed her residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in Maryland. She completed her cardiovascular and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. She is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and echocardiography.

Her husband is Dr. Amitoj Gill, an oncologist and hematologist who recently joined the Sequoia Regional Cancer Center. Dr. Chahil’s sister recently graduated from Kaweah Health’s family medicine residency and has opened her practice in Visalia.

Dr. Chahil joins the Kaweah Health Cardiology Center along with cardiologists Dr. David Cislowski, Dr. Ankur Gupta, Dr. Dennis Johnson, Dr. Harry Lively, Dr. Sarmad Said, and Dr. Atul Singla, and vascular surgeon Dr. LaMar Mack.
