Emergency Department
Kaweah Health’s Emergency Department is a Level III trauma, stroke and STEMI center that sees more than 90,000 patients per year. A recent remodeling increased size to 73 beds. This is fast pace, high acuity, unit supported by ED attendings, residents, advanced providers, RNs, LVNs, ED techs, LPTs, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and case managers. This unit provides an extensive orientation supported by two full time Mentors, two clinical educators and experienced preceptors. Average census: 240/day.
