PET Cardiology Prep

Very important:

• NO caffeine 24 hours before the test. NO coffees, teas, sodas, energy drinks, and chocolate.
• Please do not take Excedrin or Anacin.

• NO food six hours before the test.

• You may have water, juice, Gatorade, milk, 7-up, Tylenol, Ibuprofen or Alieve.

• Please take your medications the morning of the test.

• Please drink water before the test because we have to start an IV when you arrive to be able to inject the tracers.

• Please do not wear long sleeves for the IV access and monitoring during the test.

• You will be lying on the table for about thirty minutes and the preferred position is arms resting above your head.

• You will be here for about 90 minutes. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment.

• The test will not affect your ability to drive and we prefer you come alone.
