 Dr. Ota is a board certified general surgeon and board eligible colorectal surgeon who completed his residency at Kaweah Health. He is the only fellowship trained colorectal surgeon between Fresno and Bakersfield. Specializing in the treatment of cancers of the colon, rectum, and anus, Dr. Ota offers minimally invasive techniques to patients including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

A Colorectal Surgeon is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of anorectal and colorectal conditions (conditions of the colon, rectum and anus). Often referred to as “proctologists”, physicians in this specialty have additional training in colorectal surgery and have the ability to treat patients surgically if necessary.
