Kaweah Health is committed to fulfilling our mission of providing high quality, customer-oriented, and financially strong healthcare services to meet the needs of those we serve. If you need help paying your bill and do not qualify for a government program, you may qualify for low-income financial assistance.

How to Apply
Patients may request an application for assistance by calling Patient Financial Services at (559) 470-0016 or (559) 624-4200 option 4, or may obtain an application from Kaweah Health's website at kaweahhealth.org/financialassistance. Documentation required to determine eligibility is included on the application. Kaweah Health does not require any documentation not listed on the application form.
The Kaweah Health standardized application form will be available in both
English and Spanish, and any other language deemed necessary by the methods
discussed in Section VIII, below, and shall be available in any registration
or patient accounting area, as well as on the Kaweah Health website. For
patients who speak a language other than English or Spanish, or who need
other accessibility accommodations, Kaweah Health will provide appropriate
accommodations, language assistance services, and application assistance
free of charge.
Determination Guidelines
The determination guidelines at Kaweah Health Medical Center take into account the patient's family size and income based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines established by Health and Human Services. Help Paying Your Bills
There are free consumer advocacy organizations that will help you understand the billing and payment process. For more information, call the Health Consumer Alliance at 1-888-804-3536 (TTY 711) or go to healthconsumer.org.
Hospital Bill Complaint Program
The Hospital Bill Complaint Program is a California state program which reviews hospital decisions about whether you qualify for help paying your hospital bill. If you believe you were wrongly denied financial assistance, you may file a complaint with the Hospital Bill Complaint Program.
